Short intro

Content Nausea is the fourth studio album by American indie rock band Parquet Courts, released on November 28, 2014 under the name Parkay Quarts. Recorded chiefly by bandmates A. Savage and Austin Brown, the album was released less than six months after its predecessor, Sunbathing Animal. Bass guitarist Sean Yeaton and drummer Max Savage were largely absent from the recording process for Content Nausea, due to Yeaton starting a family and Savage focusing on a mathematics degree. Content Nausea is brimming with smart, funny, punk-informed rock. Parkay Quarts is Parquet Courts two frontmen and principal songwriters, Austin Brown and Andrew Savage, filled out with help from assorted friends, including Jackie-O Motherfuckers Jef Brown. Content Nausea. Album 2015 12 Songs. First released under the cryptic alter ego Parkay Quarts, Content Nausea serves as a victory lap for the garage-punk surrealists other great 2014 album, Sunbathing Animal. Loose, funny, dreamy but barbed, the band are perfect purveyors of modern urban anxiety, the kind that turns routine complaints into deadpan humor the stiff B-52's groove of Everyday It Starts or a Dylanesque rant about media saturation into wild, alien rockabilly Content Nausea . Its a vision of New York as a place thats at once fragmented and totally overwhelming. Content Nausea Parquet Courts. For an album that was recorded, mixed and mastered within a two-week period, Content Nausea reasserts Parkay Quarts as talented musicians able to deliver successive releases that are far more accomplished than many other big label garage-rock albums. Full Review. Content Nausea' by Parkay Quarts . Parquet Courts is one of the best, most thought-provoking records of the fall. By John Hendrickson. Nov 11, 2014. Andrew Savage of Parquet CourtsGetty Images. Content Nausea is also the brilliant title of the second album this year from the furious mind of 28-year-old Andrew Savage. Savage is the lead singer and songwriter of Parquet Courts, a literate garage-punk band Savage founded with his college buddy Austin Brown. The Brooklyn-via-Texas duo, with bassist Sean Yeaton and drummer Max Savage Andrew's little brother, already released one of 2014's great records, Sunbathing Animal, in early June. They do a sincere version of These Boots Are Made for Walkin', as well as the 13th Floor Elevators' lost hippie classic Slide Machine
