Short intro

Always Now - Section 25. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Always Now is the debut studio album by Section 25. It was released in September 1981 through iconic Manchester record label Factory with the catalogue number FACT 45. The album was produced by Martin Hannett, best known for producing both of Joy Division's studio albums. Recording took place in February 1981 at Britannia Row Studios in Islington, London, owned by Pink Floyd. Section 25's debut LP isn't a patch on the finer moments of their more famous labelmates, but for those who thrill on some of post-punk's late-'70searly-'80s trademarks, it should go down with great ease. Skeletal instrumentation is the rule: detached vocals, guitar used mainly as hollow accent, undead bass, and driving midtempo rhythms with loads of hi-hat. Martin Hannett's production is fittingly heavy on the drums. Always Now. Section 25. Released September 1981. Always Now Tracklist. Friendly Fires Lyrics. Альбом 1981 Песен: 19. The songs seem like the soundtrack to a ride along an endless plateau. The lyrics are far from brooding and poetry book scribbles. They seem to say just enough to have your imagination racing meeting you half way. Section 25 was derivative as hell they were friends with Joy Division, and it sure does show on this, their first album plus additional material from around the same time. Later they'd make the same style switch as New Order. But if you like that sound - and, let's face it, we sadly did not get enough Joy Division, for the obvious reason - you'll like this, slightly less. Section 25 - Always Now 1981. To favorites 2 Download album. Listen album. Actually the first album by Section 25 is a perfectly fine blend of sub-PiL dance politics and Northern existentialism. To modern ears it sounds pretty much like a large number of ironic indie acts plying their weary secondhand trade today. Their first sessions had actually been co-produced by Joy Divisions Ian Curtis, yielding the single Girls Dont Count included on reissues of the album but by the time they hit the studio for Always Now it was the mercurial Martin Hannett who sat behind the desk
